The New Arcade

Welcome to the New Arcade:
We are proud to announce the release of our brand new arcade which offers a selection of over 9000 free games to be played. You can access the new arcade by clicking here.
Who can play the games?
As long as you are a member of OurLordsFriends.com then you can play our games for free at any time and as many times as you want. We have games in categories to suit everyone’s taste from puzzle games to driving games, from classic games to strategy.
For each time you play a game, you receive 1 activity point and for every high score set/ beaten you receive 100 activity points and these can be used for sending virtual gifts.
Scoring:
Most of our games will submit a score to our Leader board and you can challenge your friends to beat that score as well. How ever some games are designed so scores are either not needed or so they do not submit to external arcade scripts. We have left these games on as they can still be fun to play.
Rate & Review:
You can rate each game out of 5 (5 being the best) and add a review for that game too. These can help other members decided whether the games is good enough for them to play and a fun way to interact with other members.
Embed:
Found a game you really like? You can embed that game on your own website/ blog or you can share a url with your friends, so they can play too.
Found a Bad game?
When we add games to the arcade, they are uploaded in a batch of 1000. We can not preview these games until they are up. From time to time, there maybe a game that you find, which is not suitable. If this is the case, then please visit our support thread Here and report that game by supplying the title and if possible the url. We will then remove that game. We have a great admin team who is checking the games out but it will take a long time to go through 9000+ games. We have, how ever removed a lot of fighting, searing and casino games and with your help, we can remove more.

What has happened to the arcade?

Hi all,
I have been asked a few times what has happened to the arcade. The previous arcade was very buggy and was causing a few issues with the site so we removed it.
There has been a new arcade developed and today we have installed it. Over the nextt week or two, the admin team will be beta testing the arcade and removing any unapproiate games. We will then release the arcade so every one can play and enjoy it.
The new arcade is a lot better and includes many new features one of which will allow you to embed the games on your website/ blog.
When the arcade has finished being tested, i will release a list of features but in the meantime, here is a screen shot:

My sincere apologies

Dear friends.
If you have joined OurLordsFriends.com since the end of December or submitted content, then please forgive us and accept our apologies as your membership or content has been lost.
Sadly due to circumstances out of our control, our server packed up. The hard drive that stores our websites crashed and were not able to be repaired. We run a monthly back up of OurLordsFriends.com and in fact the crash happened the day before the next back up was due and this is why we have lost the last few weeks new memberships and content submitted.
I have spent the last two days and night (15-17th January 2010) working on getting OurLordsFriends.com back up and running and can say we are now back up. I have also been in a lot dialogue with the hosting company we use and to prevent any form of data loss again, we have come to an agreement that they will run a daily back up for a small fee. This is a new service that they have recently started and when they run the back up, it moves the server files (websites) over to another server. This means if the hard drive crashes again, we will not loose a lot of data. If I knew of this service before, I would I snapped their hands off. I will of course, still be running my own back ups in case anything happens to the hosting company.
I am sure you can understand that this was out of my control and just on of those things but either way, please accept my sincere apologies for the problems that had arisen.
