  Statement of Beliefs

1 We believe there is just one God, Mark 12:29 says:  “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:”

2 We believe that Jesus is the only Lord. See John 14:6. John quotes Jesus as saying “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”  See also Philippians 2:9-11 where Paul shows us that Jesus is Lord of all: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
As you can see, when we pray, we pray through our Lord. If you use any other medium during prayer, then you are going against our Lords teachings and what we believe.

3 We acknowledge the Resurrection. In failing to do so, you will be denying all that our Lord Jesus had done and stood for. 1 Corinthians 15:17 states that, “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” And Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

4 We stand by what the Gospel teaches. If you believe or respect another Gospel, then you are being taught by a false scripture.  Gal. 1:8-9 says, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

5 In 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Paul states that the Gospel is the Word of our Lord and we should believe in what it teaches: “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

6 It is also important to repent of our sins. Luke 13:3 says: “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” 1 John 1:8-9 says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

7 Without seeking forgiveness, we can not move on and develop our faith because our relationship with God. Paul shows in Romans 5-8 that we are free from sin when we accept Jesus as our Lord and die with Him. But He tells us that we must stop sinning or we become servants of sin and not of God. Jesus tells us in John 15 to abide in Him so that we may bear fruit. To abide in Him we must not just repent of our sin, but seek His forgiveness and walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh. Galatians 5:25 says, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

I will state, if you feel you can not respect the above, then please do not participate on OLF and remove your presence.
